From a stable and reliable perspective, most of large ball mill, self-grinding mill or semi-self-grinding mill choose to stable austenitic high manganese steel liner.
 
2.About the ball mill steel ball
At present, widely used at home and abroad are the forging of high carbon alloy castings and high carbon low alloy forging or casting, In the production of fire power plant and cement industry, must use high or low chromium cast iron mill balls. But in the wet process of mine industry, high carbon low alloy grinding ball usually be applied. 
 
Between the liner plate and the mill ball, the first choice is the liner In the sandstone production line. It is necessary to ensure that the service life of the liner is above two major repair periods, and try not to maintain it as much as possible. Giving preference to those liner with good reliability and high resistance to wear. 
 
The matching of the liner and the ground ball should be based on the idea of "baseboard", the grinding resistance of the grinding ball mill should be chosen the best on the premise that the service life of the lining is guaranteed by two major repair periods. The hardness of the liners should be greater than the HRc50, the hardness of the alloy of the alloy is greater than that of HRc52, and the hardness of the forging alloy steel grinding ball should be greater than that of HRc55. Generally, it is the best to choose the best abrasion resistance.
